Today marks the sixth annual GivingTuesday,a day when individuals and corporations around the world open their hearts and wallets and give back. This year, Green Orchyd is happy to participate in this global event!We will be donating 20% of today’s sales to Things of My Very Own, Inc., a non-profit organization close to our hearts.
Every child deserves to feel like they matter.This is especially true for children with unstable home environments. That’s where Things of My Very Own, Inc. steps in. They provide crisis intervention services to children in the Albany, New York area who have been impacted by extensive abuse and/or neglect. The transition out of an abusive situation is often sudden and unexpected. Rarely is a child able to return home to retrieve belongings prior to the move. Things of My Very Own, Inc. recognizes the need for children to have everything they need from the first moment on, and their goal is to provide children with Things of Their Very Own, even when they are in an unfamiliar setting.
